Lifting my Spirits

This butterfly certainly lifts MY spirits so I made this quick card with some scraps of paper.

Supplies: Stamp and Images (butterfly, script) - Hero Arts; Digi paper - Sande Kreiger; Nesties - Labels 8
Pink and purple is one of my FAVE combinations.  And thanks to my friend Kathy for teaching me the dot method of colouring! If you haven't seen her blog, you are missing a TREAT - check it out HERE.

Baby Baby

Baby cards are one of my favourite cards to make.  And this pram is just so CUTE.  I made a Baby Boy card like this a while ago, but my sister demanded some baby girl cards (she's so bossy!!!), so I tried out some new patterned paper.

Supplies: Image, Stamp and buttons- Hero Arts; PP - Zoe Pearn; Corner Image - Carina Gardner; Sewing machine.
I love this background paper - it's from  a Zoe Pearn digikit called 'Rustic' available HERE.  It was originally orange - but I recoloured it in Photoshop.  Just one of the MANY reasons why I love digital. :)

Friends

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying time with family and friends like me.
I'm still without craft space / broadband, so thought I'd share a quick card I made a few weeks ago.
This little coffee cup from the Cosmo Cricket 'Early Bird' range is adorable.

Supplies: Stamp, Kraft paper - Hero Arts; PP - October Afternoon; Chipboard - Cosmo Cricket; Nesties - Labels 1; sewing machine.
I really enjoyed making this little card - it makes me smile.   :)
Lots of Christmas Love

Christmas CD Holder

Here is the second project I created for Jennifer's 'Cards that Give' theme over at the Hero Arts blog this week: a CD holder for my mum.  Here I used the Pinstripes and Dots digikit to create the snowy background.  And I can NEVER resist my FAVOURITE little deer.

Supplies: Click HERE for details.
I'm just getting over a HORRID 24 hour (hopefully) sickness bug.  Great timing (although I suppose I should be very thankful that it wasn't this time last week while I was frantically packing.)
Anyway, HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you all.  Have FUN.

I don't love orange but..

but I do like THIS orange...
These cute butterflies come from a sweet digikit called Rustic by Zoe Pearn.  I combined it with some GORGEOUS paper from Michelle Underwood's 'Singing in the Rain' digikit.

Other supplies: Stamp - Hero Arts; Nesties - Labels 1; Sewing machine.
So I am FINALLY in my new house.  Still on dial up for now... and to think I only switched to broadband about a year ago.  How did I manage???  My new craft space is coming on well... need lots of new furniture now.  Any recommendations???
Hope everyone is enjoying the run up to Christmas.

Cards that Give

I was thrilled when the lovely lovely Jennifer McGuire asked me to create for the Hero Arts blog this week. The theme is 'Cards that Give', so I decided to make this gift card with a pocket for some Christmas money!  I love these cute birds.

Supplies: Click HERE
I really love the new Hero Arts metallic decor - it adds sparkle without adding bulk - they are virtually flat - so perfect for the post.
And click HERE to see Jennifer's stunning gift card holder.
 Thanks Jennifer  xx  :)

Snowman Happy

This morning I've been playing with some new digital kits from twopeas.
First, this CUTE kit by Katherine Teague - Snowman Happy.  I love the buttons in the kit... they look like mini snowglobes.

And this big snowman makes it easy to make multiple cards.  All I added was stitching and gems.

And then this kit: Katherine Teague's 'Bit of Pretty', perfect for love themed cards.

I especially love this pale pink lined paper.  YUMMY.

Supplies: Stamp and gems - Hero Arts; Ribbon - Creative Impressions; Nesties - labels 1.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
I am moving house on Thursday... things are a bit chaotic here right now.  My husband is AMAZED that I still appear to have time to make cards AND blog about them :)
I have my priorities right. :)

Merry Little Christmas...

I am always on the look out for circle stamps - I think they are so sweet, and I love making circle cards too.  So I was thrilled to see THIS cute Carina Gardner digikit released last week at twopeas.
I just love this "Merry Little Christmas" circle - especially the double layer of sentiment... I layered it over some pretty Jen Allyson paper and used my nesties to cut the circle.  I made sure I left space for stitching.  I added my fave Hero Arts acrylic penguin stamp.

Details: HERE
And this card is so simple - the dove is part of the stamp, so this makes mass producing Christmas cards easy.

Supplies: HERE
Hope you are all well - don't forget you have a few more days to enter my challenge. :)

It's Cold Outside...

I made this card with Michelle Underwood's new digikit 'Baby It's Cold Outside' - released this week at TwoPeasinabucket.com. I LOVE the brown polka paper, and the grainy white paper.  And that sentiment... just too cute.  I thought it went perfectly with this Hero Arts snowman.  I love the expression on his face. :)
Supplies: Papers and sentiment - Michelle Underwood; Snowman -  Hero Arts; Glitter pen, sewing machine.
I added a little glitter to his scarf with a glitter pen.
Check out Michelle's gorgeous kit HERE.  It's packed full of wintry goodness :)

Ice Blue Butterfly

Jen Allyson released an oh-so-pretty digikit 'Ornament Ice Blue Papers' at Twopeas last Tuesday.  I've been looking for some paper with tiny polka dots for AGES.  And here it is.  And the best thing is... I can recolour it to suit ANY project!!  Yay.  I added Hero Arts Old Letter Writing over the top of the aqua paper.  (Just LOVE that kit...)

Supplies: listed HERE.
Haven't used my heart-winged butterfly for AGES.  So happy to see her again. :)
Just noticed that this card qualifies for my own challenge ;)  Mind you, so do MOST of the cards I make.  Butterflies and string... pretty much on ALL of my cards :)

Lots of gorgeous new kits released over at Twopeas this week... so much to PLAY with!!!
I made this simple Christmas card using 3 of the new kits.
First, the GORGEOUS paper is from Jen Allyson's kit: Ornament Ice Blue Papers.  I recoloured it a little to make it more sky blue.  Then I layered the cute reindeer from Hero Arts 'Children's Christmas' and added the sentiment from 'Reindeer Games', another Hero Arts kit.
