Shaker card video

Below is a video I made demonstrating my shaker cards.  It is for Donna :)  The tablecloth you can see is the one I spilled Gamsol on - amazingly, it came out!!!  This is my craft space a.k.a. the dining table.

Why can't I stop...

I can't stop making cards.  I've had so much fun today, making more shakers, and then trying some cards for a few other challenges.

This one is for the Kristina Werner Color Inspiration 47.  I am not usually a big fan of orange - but I like the orange brown combination.

This card is for the Caardvarks Hero Arts Challenge.  Even though I am not very good with sketches, I was so excited to win the last challenge with my bus critter card, I thought I'd have a go. 

This is a picture I made for one of my work colleagues.  She loves butterflies and is such a lovely lovely person, I thought I'd make her a butterfly collage.

These shaker cards were so much fun to make.  Hero Arts sent me this message set for my last Honorable Mention.  I decided to change the sentiments on each as a bit of a challenge.  I'm quite pleased with the way they turned out.  I like the Screen Shadow stamp effect.

And lastly, I made this while still in my pyjamas this morning.  I saw Kathy's super fun Jelly Belly card here and instantly thought of Hundreds and Thousands and cupcakes.  This one shakes brilliantly.

I wish I could say I was exhausted after all of this, but I'm not.  Maybe one more before I go to sleep :)

Shaker Puzzle Card

Tonight I adapted the shaker card to design to incorporate this puzzle.  I remember playing with these as a child, and thought this might make a nice birthday card for my Godson.  I think it's boyish enough...  he is a teenager... but he has a good sense of humour :)

Shaker Cards

Tonight was shaker night.  I made 7 cards tonight!  I can't stop.  It's now 11.45 and I have school tomorrow.  So I must go to bed...  But shakers are so fun.

I enjoyed making these so much - I can see where my weekend's going to go! :)

Tonight I decided to make some more Window cards.  I found this Sparkle Clear set and decided to try to use all four sentiments.

I definitely like the owl ones best - not so sure about the pink...

Baby window cards

I am so inspired by the Windows Challenge on the HA blog.  I just have so many ideas running around my head.

Tonight my fiance's brother had his first baby! Andy is an uncle.  I was in the baby frame of mind before I heard the good news, so I made a girl card.  Then when it was confirmed that it was a boy, I made a boy version too!  I can't wait to meet my future nephew!!!

Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day here today, and I've been away all weekend visiting my soon-to-be in-laws.  So I thought I'd post a photo of the card I sent to my lovely mum.  She's the best.

Spring

This evening I was thinking about what I love most about Spring - and ducklings were my answer.  So I made this card.

Finally, a night off...

First, I made a little card for my mum who is retiring on Friday.  I decided to keep it simple.  I love this stamp from Penny Black.

Then I made a couple of simple Mother's Day cards.

My Favourites...

I had to go to work again today, but this is the last Sunday for this year (yay).  So with no time to make a card, I thought I'd post pictures of my favourite cards.  I made these for the HA Favourites challenge using my absolute favourite sets, Adorable Baby Girl and Precious Baby Boy.

Can't believe the weekend is over... :(

Still, we get a new challenge tomorrow :)  Yippee.

Today I've had another go at a shape card for the Hero Arts challenge.

I really enjoyed making this.  Although I wish I had some more circle stamps to improve the sentiment.  It doesn't fit with this card really.

Windmill Card

Tonight I've been getting frustrated.  This card took ages but I am not 100% sure about it.  I feel like something is missing, maybe it's just a sentiment. But I'm not sure what sentiment.  I need help... any ideas gratefully received.

Noah's Ark

Hello.  Tonight I was finally inspired enough to try a shape card for the HA Shape Challenge

I received my Honorable Mention prize today too, HA have been so generous, sending me a Curly Alphabet set.  I'm pretty excited to have a go with this set!

Finally, an evening to myself. So first, I made a tiny frog tag, or a "tagling" as Andy named it.  This is for the HA Shapes Challenge.

Then I thought it was time to start Mother's Day cards - I make some for my colleagues.  First was this one for a colleague who has just had a baby.  He's going to give it to his wife.

Then a few more simple ones using some lovely HA stamps.

Creating Dimension

I have to work tonight, so have no time to make a card :(  

But someone today asked me how I created the dimension on my little animal cards:  

So I took an extreme close up to better illustrate my dodgy description.

Basically, it requires cutting foam pads into tiny fragments...

Frogs, frogs and more ladybirds...

I got up unusually early this morning, inspired to crack on with my wedding invitations:

I got quite a good pile done!  Then, after clearing up all my crafting things, and tidying the house beautifully, I got everything out again to experiment with my new HA set.  

When I showed it to Andy, he asked me to make a birthday version for his dad, and I got carried away... I love this frog.  And I LOVE the ladybird
