When I first saw this card on the Hero Arts blog I nearly fell off my chair. Jennifer McGuire is sooooo talented, I love everything she makes.
I wonder if I am her biggest fan.
Anyway, I attempted to make a card in the same style. And boy did it take a long time. Not that happy with it in the end, apart from the button, I like embossing on buttons :)
I made this card yesterday for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Color Suite Challenge 3
I love these colours, but the card didn't photograph very well.
I've been busy with secret Caardvarks stuff too... so exciting. I am enjoying my new "job"!
Very cool technique, I am going to have to try that with some of my stash of buttons! Your card is adorable btw!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Lucy, love your cards and congrats on the new 'job' :) I wondered how you made your pink flowers? Are they punches?
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy, I think your take on Jennifer's card is lovely. Just a suggestion though have you tried the fliker Picnic photo edititing? I use it on all of my photos. I find it a very helpful tool or you could try Picasa. It's a free photo editing thing from the internet. Any way can't wait to see what you come up with for your new job. I'm so excited for you :-D. Hugs xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Lucy. Jennifer is fantastic. I am one of your fans. Your cards are so awesome. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a pretty awesome take on her card...love the embossing on the buttons and it took a second glance to realize your card is made from clear sheets...cool! i too have wondered about that flower and, if that's a poor photo of the card, I can't imagine how it must look in real life because it's fantastic looking from where I sit!! Also can't wait to see what you do on the Caardvark site.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Jennifers card too Lucy....Both yours are Wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteLove all your work Lucy! And I think I can rival you for being Jennifers biggest fan - she can do no wrong that girl, her work is amazing!
