My Favourite Things... and yours.

I have been cleaning ALL day - literally 10 a.m.-6 p.m.   It's been horrendous.  I feel very sad about it.

So, instead of posting a card (as I've not had time to make one), I thought I'd post a list of my FAVOURITE crafting supplies, and ask you what yours are.

And, the good news, I will award a prize for the most interesting comment.  I had a giveaway a week ago but the winner never claimed her prize.  So I have goodies up for grabs.

My Favourite things:

2.  My sewing machine

3.  My thread.  I think I over-use it.

4. Hero Arts Notecards - current favourite: Spring mix.

  5.  Kraft paper - any kind.

6.  The GORGEOUS Cosmo Cricket mini decks.

Leave me a comment by Thursday 3rd September, telling me your favourite crafting supplies, and I will award the prize to the person who convinces me to buy their favourite thing :)

Bye for now. X

Special Cards

I made these thank you cards for 2 special people involved in my wedding.

First, my mum.  She did so much.  I created a list of all the thing she did in Word, then printed onto some pretty My Mind's Eye paper.  Pink was the colour of my flowers - so I wanted to stick to this colour for my special thank yous.
Thank You Mum
Then this one, for a wonderful friend who did my make-up on the day.  As I don't wear make-up, this was a big deal, and she did brilliantly.  She is gorgeous, a real fairy godmother!  Oh and apologies to any French speakers - my friend is French and I had a go... I'm pretty sure it's grammatically incorrect :)
I used this gorgeous table confetti she brought along to my hen party.  I knew it would come in handy... they put it on every surface, and I carefully transferred it into a plastic bag after the party! :)  (I'm such a geek).
Thank You Isabelle
Supplies: Stamps - Hero Arts (sentiment, fairy); Paper - My Mind's Eye (Bella Bella); Martha Sewart Punch (just got it and LOVE it);  machine stitching.

Thank you Mum and Isabelle - you made my day so special xxx

Oh, and if JULIE is out there - the winner of my Core'dinations giveaway, please click this link.  You have until Monday evening to claim your prize, or I am going to have to redraw.  Where are you???

Digital Flowers

OK, I am addicted to digital...
This is from the kit called Botanical Tulips (here), and this was FUN to colour in.  It's for the Hero Arts 'ColorIt' challenge.

Supplies: Notecard and Stamps - Hero Arts (script background, sentiment, flower); PP - My Mind's Eye; Faber Castell colouring pencils; machine stitching.
Look how crisp the downloaded image is.  And the dimension on this flower is FANTASTIC.  I am also addicted to my sewing machine at the moment... I love it so much.

Hero Arts Digital!

Hero Arts started selling digital images recently, and initially I thought I'd struggle to use them.
BUT - being a true Hero Arts FANATIC, I had to have a go.  And here's the result.
Supplies: Image, Stamp and Notecard- Hero Arts; Paper - Little Yellow Bicycle.
The images are so easy to download from 2Peas, print, cut out - infact this card took minutes to make.
I think I'll be downloading more - this image cost $0.99!  Or to me, 60 pence!  Fantastic value.

Caardvarks Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to the first ever Caardvarks Caard Hop sponsored by Core'dinations.
If you have just come from Ashley's gorgeous blog - nice to see you, hope you are having fun.

If not, click here to go to the start of the hop. Caardvarks will give all the instructions you need.

So here is my FIRST Core'dinations card of the hop!

Supplies: Core'dinations Whitewash Cardstock; Stamps - Hero Arts; Kraft Notecard - Hero Arts; Blue polka dot paper - Papertrey Ink; Cuttlebug embossing folder - Swiss Dots; twill - recycled Gap clothing label.

This Core'dinations Whitewash Collection is fantastic - so fun to work with! The colours underneath are so vibrant and fun, and the 12x12 pack has a wonderful selection of colours in.

I wanted to make a card that really showcased this gorgeous card so I kept the design fairly simple. I embossed the cardstock with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, then sanded the dots to reveal the core colour. Then, I just tore the bottom from the card to create the waves. So easy to make.

Here is the blog hop order:

Click HERE for the start of the hop.

Have fun, and keep hopping.
See you tomorrow - good luck!!!

P.S. keep your eyes peeled for giveaways over the 3 days... I might even be doing one :)
