Ok, so I hate Halloween. Sorry, but it's the truth. Like many, many Brits, my mother was dead against the whole trick-or-treating thing, so I've never been. So come October 31st, I usually switch off all the lights in the house and hide in the back room...
BUT... I really love the cute little stamps in THIS Halloween set!
Dilemma.
So I decided to get it, and try to use the stamps on non-Halloween cards instead.
Here is my first attempt :)
Love it! (But not Halloween).:)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a success Lucy - totally gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteOk, so now you have been brave enough to come out over the whole halloween thing I'll 'fess up too: I'm not big on halloween either! And this is from someone who has dressed as a witch, a zombie, a ghostbuster etc etc year after year at the library. Have to say though I do love those stamps... and your card is totally fabulous! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteCute !
ReplyDeletePretty simple card !
ReplyDeletehave a nice day,

I love Halloween and it's not even celebrated over here! And I adore Halloween stamps and paper.
ReplyDeleteI like the card, cute spider.
Eveline.
We don't have Halloween in Indonesia, so growing up I never celebrate it. And yes, hubby & I hide, too at Halloween eve, although our neighborhood is pretty quiet anyway. Love the card. It's cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card and I agree with you about Halloween! Tracey x
ReplyDeletesuch a cute card, I love it!!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the stamps for non- halloween. We don't really celebrate too much here in NZ - definitely no cards anyway... sometimes the littles come trick or treating....
ReplyDeletewhat a fun card, lucy! i don't celebrate halloween either, but a halloween card got me fab 4.. ? guess it'll grow on me now! :) i agree with you about that BG stamp! i say it too much but can't say enough: love. your. work.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute :)))
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I hate spiders but I could handle this one ;)
ReplyDeletehee, so fun! what a cool birthday card for a boy! love it!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Thanks for taking the stand and confessing :o)
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow Brit and living here in the USA, I still find it hard to comprehend the positive frenzy Halloween causes here in Corpus Christi (not sure if it is the same in the rest of USA). Adults especially, in fact, at work it is the most sought after night off - in the whole year!!!!
Love the card, Lucy. Great job. The line of sewing is perfect for dangling y our cute little chap :o)
Love, love, LOVE your card. The stitched web-line is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI'm no fan of Hallowe'en but my kids love it. I think adults go way overboard, but that could be my "I-don't-like-Hallowe'en-side" talking :)
Your card is perfect for a non-Hallowe'en card though. Nice alternate use for that spider. He's a cutie!
God Bless, Cynthia
Oh, SO adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of making Halloween cards, per se, but I do just love watching the little kiddies pick up their candy. hehe. Super cute how you've incorporated the spider into a non-Halloween theme!
ReplyDeleteI don't like Halloween, either (my LEAST favorite "holiday")! But this card is so cute!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTee hee! I think I'd have caved in for that stamp too!
ReplyDeleteI never really celebrated Halloween either but my nieces and nephews do so who am I to argue when it comes to sampling the treats for them *wink*
Have a super weekend!
Hugs,
Aimes
