More studio photos!! (And a card!)

So the time has come to share more photos...
I thought I'd focus on storage!
I love jars.  I bet all crafters do.  they are so aesthetically pleasing.  Here are some of my jars :)
First, ribbons.  They are finally back on their clothes pins.  I wonder if I can keep them so neat!
7
Here you can see them with my buttons jars. Love them

These cute pots are perfect for small embellies

And here's a close up of my beautiful starge pots a dear friend gave me.  One for colored pencils...
13
and one for essential pens and tools...
4
I got these pots from Ikea - they are supposed to hang from the wall, but ae not up yet.  One holds my seam binding...
5
and one my twine and lace.  I have another for ribbon scraps.
8
Stamp storage. :)
my sister gave me a Clip-it-Up for Christmas, and an add on for my birthday.  I love her so.  This wall is still a bit of a blank canvas...
6
Woodblock stamps are in drawers.  One for big ones...
3
And one for small.  I have a whole drawer for NEW stamps :)
12
And finally, look!  A whole drawer of Hero Arts notecards... arranged in a rainbow.  It's the DREAM!
14
And look at my INKS!
10
Seriously, I am in heaven.  The luckiest girl in the world.
Here's a card I made using the sweetest Digikit EVER, Just for You.  All the images - background, stamp and sentiment - are from this awesome kit.

Make a Wish..

It's Tuesday, and that means Hero Arts Digikit release day at twopeasinabucket.com.
So I thought I'd share TWO new cards I've made for this release.
First, a hybrid card I made with the sweet Lace Star Digikit.  There are different colours of the stamp in the kit - I chose the Latte colour, and printed it straight onto some Latte Layering Paper.  I love the rich effect it created.  I added lace, pearls and a sentiment

Check out the Make a Wish kit.  So cute.  LOVE this mixed font sentiment.

I stuck the candle to the card with Glossy Accents, and believe me, it isn't going anywhere.  Glossy Accents ROCK.
Have a great day!

You're a Great Friend

Hello! It's the Web Artists week on the Hero Arts blog, and today I have a card featured.  One of the themes for February is Friendship cards, and we are focusing on this for the whole week. I decided to make a clean and simple card featuring paper layering.  Hero Arts Layered Flowers set is just gorgeous, and, obviously, perfect for layering!  I stamped it onto 3 different patterned papers by Doodlebug, and added a sentiment from the Made with Love set.
You're a Great Friend
Card details are HERE.
Hope you have a wonderful day.  I've been shopping with my mum and sister - they've forced me to buy lots of new clothes... always exciting to be with them :)

Sprinkling of Kisses

I made this little card to show off the adorable watering can from Hero Arts Sending Smiles set.  The sentiment is typed, I just left room for the Thickers.  The kisses are rub ons. :)

I'm at my parents with my sister!  We're having the BEST time. :)
Have a happy Sunday.

New Job

Here's a card I made with one of my new favourite stamps - My Type.  I LOVE this stamp set. :)
I typed the sentiment on cream cardstock, then stamped over it with the typewriter.  I did some masking on the background too to add the ledger background.

Sitting Here...

Here's a card I made using Hero Arts' new digikit Wish You Were Here.  This chair image is one of my favourite stamps - and I LOVE that it is digi too.  I used some lovely satin ribbon from The Ribbon Girl too... glossy and shiny and yummy. :)
Thinking of You
Happy Thursday everyone.  It's nearly the weekend, and best of all, I have a week's holiday starting tomorrow.  My sister's coming visiting from Canada too!  Yay!

I ♥ my new studio...

This Valentine's Day, my love for my new studio has surpassed everything else...  My poor husband has been sidelined by my Ikea furniture and yummy carpet.  And I love my new view too.
It's been beautiful and sunny tonight and I couldn't resist taking a few photos.
But, the evening sunshine was pouring in, creating shadows and difficulties for the not-very-good photographer (me).
2
As you can probably tell, my shiny new studio is in my loft. :)
And I LOVE it.
Here is the other end of the room - still a blank canvas.
1
It's 8 metres long so just wonderful to be in.  It is, by a mile, the warmest and nicest room in the house at the moment, as we are doing other works too.
I have space enough for things like this... rows of pretty jars :)
4
But - it is still a work in progress.
My ribbons for example...
3
I need a new solution for them :)
I'll share better pictures as I organise and set things up better.
But until then, I hope this has given you a glimpse of why I am so happy. :)
Have a great day.
P.S. This is my 2nd post today - Valentine's card below...
And I'll share my husband's card tomorrow ;)

be my Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!
Here's a card I made with some Pink Petticoat digital stamps.  So cute.  I used With Heart and Tiny Sweetheart Sentiments.

Oh, and check out Pink petticoat's newest release HERE... it's a GORGEOUS typewriter.  (ETA - the stamp is not quite available yet... check back soon.)
I hope you have a lovely day. xx

Here's a card I made recently using stamps, stickers, silk ribbon and yummy patterned paper...
DSC_0001_2_2
I love pink.  And glitter.
I hope you enjoy your weekend, and get some time to play.  I am creating like crazy!
p.s. So happy to see a lovely message from one of my readers saying she submitted for the first time after my encouragement and had a card picked up ALREADY! Such great news.  I hope that inspires even more of you.

My Sweetheart

Here's a simple little Valentine I made using some digital stamps from Pink Petticoat.  If you've not visited their website, you must.  It's so CUTE - and their images and sentiments are all adorable.  The tree is from their Trendy Trees kit and their sentiment is from the Tiny Sweetheart Sentiments kit.  I adore mixed font sentiments.  I just added some die cut scallop circles for the trees, and some Hero Arts gemstones.

Hope you are having a good week... I am sitting in my new studio, happy it's almost Friday, and longing for some crafty time this weekend. I will try to get photos of the studio at the weekend too... I see that you are all keen to see it.  But it still looks a little empty.  I have so many drawers meaning I have nothing pretty on display!  My husband LOVES it - he hates all my clutter - until I remind him that this is MY room.  Ah, a room of one's own.  Finally. :)

Thanks

Her Arts just released this new CardArt Thanks Digikit.  I love it.  It's got everything you need in it to create a card - stamp, sentiment, background... so cute.

For this card, I printed the coloured background stamp onto kraft cardstock, then reloaded the kraft paper into my printer, and printed the flower and sentiment.   I printed the flower again onto some digital Carnation layering paper, then paper pieced together.  A bit of stitching, inking, and embellishing later and it's done... quick and easy.
Hope you have a good weekend planned.
I am hopefully building furniture in my new studio.  Pictures to follow...

A New Arrival

OK, so I thought I'd share one little publishing tip... like I said, I am definitely no expert.
Get to know your magazine.  Check its style.  See what the cards in it are like.  You're much more likely to be successful if your card fits in with the magazine's style.  If you see lots of stickers in the magazine, use stickers. :)
So - here's another card you can find in January's CARDS magazine.  I do so love Hero Arts' Sweet Girl Digikit...  I may have shared this once before... but hey ho!
DSC09410
Such a simple card.  And fun to make. :)
More tomorrow...
P.S. I was feeling a bit down today, but reading the comments on yesterday's post totally cheered me up.  Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.
