OK - so here's why I've been absent...
I am pregnant!!!
And today I got to see the little person growing inside me. A very exciting day!
(I didn't believe it was really true until I saw the little thing wriggle and jump on the screen!)
Thank you all so much for all your kindness and well wishes - I am hoping to feel normal again soon, and one day I hope to be able to re-enter my studio. I've not been able to craft for 6 weeks... my sense of smell has gone crazy, and the new carpet in there is NOT good.
So that explains it.
Thanks for caring.
You all rock!!!
And I PROMISE I'll be back soon with winners of my giveaways and new cards...
xxxx

ReplyDeleteLucy, hope you feel better soon. I'm sure you've already been given lots of advice, but here's my two cents: ginger scent helps a lot with sickness. It worked for me when I was pregnant (I bought a couple of very fresh ginger scents, one from Origins and one from Kenzo-Kenzoki).
Big hugs!
Congratulations Lucy!!! Take care :)

ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!!!!! I just knew that's why you were sick! I had the same issues w/ smell so I feel your pain. It will pass I promise. Take care. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! Such wonderful news!! I understand about smells, I had the same issues. A little hint with the smell of the new carpet is to put some bi-carb soda on the carpet (hubbys job) leave it overnight and vacuum the next day, it will help with the smell, leave a opened box of the bi carb in the room as well. Sounds strange but lighting a few matches will help as well.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again!!!!!
Congratulations, Lucy! I'm so happy for you.

ReplyDeletecongratulations lucy - thats the best reason to be sicky. ive just had my first bambino two months ago, and i definitely remember the first weeks of pregnancy - its a struggle to eat, smells make you queasy, and car rides are a nightmare. have you had any cravings yet? i remember one week all i wanted was cocacola, then the next week i couldnt even look at it.
ReplyDeletecongrats again to you guys, and maybe we'll be lucky enough to see a photo of the scan.

ReplyDeleteBless your heart, you will get tons of advice. Tea 0r 7-up and crackers. When I was pregnant eons ago (LOL) when I couldn't eat, the only thing I could drink that would stay down was chocolate milk. Good Luck, you'll figure out what will settle your stomach. And in no time, you'll have a big appetite and your doctor will say, my dear you are not eating for 2. But it's all good. Congratulations.
