New Home...

So this card started with that green die cut circle.  See, I made a window card and ended up with this shape left over.  And I was determined to use it. :)
I had this sweet little key charm that the lovely ladies at The Ribbon Girl sent me, and thought it would work beautifully on a new home card.  The stamp is Hero Arts Row of Houses, stamped in Walnut Stain Distress Ink for a vintage-y feel. :)

I like working with charms... I'm going to use more of them. :)

Sew Nice...

Just here to share one of the cards I had published back in the May/June issue of Paper Crafts magazine.  What with the excitement (and illness) of the pregnancy, I forgot to share it. :)
I used Hero Arts' Sew Artsy stamp set, and the background is Canvas Stripes.  I stitched along each stripe to add more texture.

I just sent this card to my aunt who knitted me the sweetest cardigan, hat and booties for my baby.  She's an amazing quilter, so I hope she'll like the card. :)
Have a great day.

You Rock!

Just HAD to make a card for Paper Crafts monthly gallery challenge.  Such a great theme... I mean, who doesn't like making girly cards ;)
You Rock
I used a digital butterfly image from Hero Arts' Bugging Out Digikit (boy was I happy to find a new butterfly to play with...) and layered it over some digi paper from the Echo Park Victoria Gardens digikit. After cutting it out, I inked the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  The bakground paper is from the REAL Victoria Gardens 6 x 6 Pad.

Here you can see a close up of the butterfly's body - I adhered some pink Dewdrops onto the butterfly using Glossy Accents (I love invisible adhesive...) then put some pearls on top. Love a bit of embellishment layering :)
Hope you have a good day, whatever you are up to.

Hey diddle diddle...

So I got a bit behind with Hero Arts digikits while I was out of action... and when I came back, I was VERY happy.  So many awesome new kits to choose from...
When I saw their Newborn Greetings Digikit, I was smitten.

Two sentiments particularly stood out... and I played with them both straight away.
New Baby Card Pair
For the baby girl card, I used a digital image from The Whimsical Cat Digikit which I printed onto pink polka dot paper then paper pieced onto the card.  I added a sweet pink pin and lots of pink silk ribbon all from The Ribbon Girl.
Sweet Little One
For the baby boy card, I added a digital image from A Dog's Life Digikit, adding blue silk ribbon and some little Hero Arts gemstones.
Hey Diddle Diddle
Seriously... digikits + kraft = perfect pairing.
Have a wonderful weekend and see you next week.

Rainbow Stuff!

OK, so I have a confession...
I have held back my final rainbow card for the week so I can submit it to Paper Crafts current call...
I'm a sell out. ;)
So, instead, I thought I'd share a PASTEL rainbow of products with you that I love and that I plan to create cards with over the next few days.
Love these soft yellow Thickers from American Crafts...
This delicious paper is called Honeysuckle from the Victoria Garden Collection by Echo Park.  I love the whole collection.  And they do it digitally too - click HERE

This lovely purple paper is from the Lily Bee Picket Fence Collection.  I have the 6 x 6 pad... and I adore it.  THIS is my other favourite paper from the pad.

This fab blue paper is called University from the Oxford Collection by Basic Grey.  Such an intense sky blue... I love it.

I am really getting into seam binding - it's hard to use, but so yummy and textured.  This aqua colour is my favourite:

And finally, a close up of some beautiful patterned paper from the Bo Bunny Vicki B collection.  So gorgeous...

So there you have it.  A pastel rainbow of some of my favourite things.  Notice that most of them are paper :)  I do love paper.
Pop back tomorrow when I will share a pair of baby cards. Not that I'm in a baby mood or anything ;)
Bye for now.
