Sew Fabulous...

Today's card features stamps from the new Make Your Own Digikit. I LOVE this kit. :)  All the stamps are from the kit, and the pretty papers are from Echo Park's Springtime digital collection.

I decided to go for a different look with my paper piecing, so I printed the 2nd dress form smaller than the first. Just playing around...
Just got a new box of Hero Arts goodies in the mail... can't wait to play tomorrow. :)
Have a good day.

Bright Butterfly

I had fun making this card... I used a ric rac ribbon stamp from the new Ribbon Borders Digikit, and recoloured it lots of times to create the rainbow of ribbons.  Then, I die cut the butterfly and popped it up with foam adhesive.

You can see the effect better in this close-up. :)

My Cup of Tea...

Hello!
I'm here today with a couple of cards I made featuring the new Kitchen Silhouettes Digikit.  This kit is great - it comes with the original Kitchen Silhouette background stamp, but also has each of the separate stamps too. Love it.
For this card, I used Photoshop to remove the colour from the kettle, then printed it onto some digital paper from Echo Park's Be Mine digikit. The sentiment is from THIS digikit, and the steam I made using a swirl from THIS kit. :)

Then I made an invitation. I thought the lovely orange cooking pot was just the colour of a Le Creuset dish... :)

Hope you have had a good day.  My feet are killing - time to put them up I think.  Hubbie can make dinner tonight. ;)

Sew Nice...

Ooooh - it's Hero Arts digikit release day. :)
Today I am sharing a card made with two new kits - Make Your Own and Ribbon Borders.  How CUTE are these kits??? The background is created with a stitched ribbon from the ribbon kit, and the polka strip is also a ribbon from the kit.  The cute pincushin and sentiment are both from the Make Your Own kit.  And the floral digi patterned paper is from Echo Park's Country Drive kit.

I added lots of Hero Arts pearls to create the pinheads... love these pearls.
I have lots more cards to share this week using the new releases, so come back tomorrow...
Bye.

Autumnal Thank You

Hello! And happy Monday.  It's Designer Team Blog Week on the Hero blog, and today I have a card featured that fits in with this month's contest - Autumn!  This card features stamps from the new Scattered Leaves Digikit.  I printed the leaves in green on white cardstock then inked the edges with Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain distress ink. Then I added stitching to create the veins on the leaves...
The background stamp was atered to sepia then printed on kraft.  Again, I inked the edges but this time with Pumice Stone ink. Love me my distress inks although it's getting a bit embarrassing going to school with ink stained hands...
Autumnal Thank You
The sentiment on this card is from the Many Thanks Digikit.
(More info on the card HERE if you want it.)
Oh, and someone asked about kraft card and my printer.  I just buy the 8 1/2 x 11 sheets (from THIS shop) and stick them in my A4 printer.  They fit fine.  Or I trim 12 x 12 down to size. Easy.
See you tomorrow... it's digikit release day. Yay!

Hope you've had a good week, and that you enjoy your weekend. I'm going to make some cards using some of the techniques I've learned from Jennifer McGuire's AWESOME Inspiration Showcase. What an amazing class.
See you soon.
