Winter Scene

Hello and happy Monday.  It's my week on the Hero Arts blog, and today I've shared a Christmas card made using loads of Rock Candy Stickles. Yum.  This was such a fun card to make... a bit of watercolouring, cutting, distress inking, glittering... ALL my favourites. :)  The lovely Winter Scene stamp makes a perfect backdrop for the tree from Joy of the Christmas Season stamp set.  The sentiment is from Very Merry Christmas, and the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 6 x 6 Christmas Pad

Sparkly Butterflies

Hello. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Andy and I just got back from our 1st ante-natal session - it was great. Lovely people and lots of useful information. I am feeling much less nervous about childbirth now :)
Anyway - here's a card I made using the sweet Artist's Butterfly Digikit from Hero Arts.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Blow Up kit.  Loads of Stickles here too...

Pink Christmas!

I confess... I am a BIG fan of non traditional colours for Christmas cards, especially pink.  It's one of my favourite colours but strangely, I never wear it!  It's the colour that most makes me think of my mum. She LOVES pink.  And I love to design with it.  So here it it... a VERY pink Christmas card...

The CUTE stamp and sentiment are a brand new release from Pink Petticoat called Tiny Trees.  I just love the sweet tree, and the yummy mixed font sentiment.  So so so cute.  The background paper is from Echo Park's Holly Jolly Christmas Digikit. I LOVE it.  It was originally a yummy pool colour, but I changed it in Photoshop to pink.  Another reason why digital rocks!!!  Oh, and I finished it off with loads of Hero Arts bling, and a touch of Spica glitter pen.
Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Not sure how many I am going to get made before the baby comes... a few I hope. :)
Back soon. x

You're Amazing

Today I created a card using a new Hero Arts digikit: Happy Thanksgiving.  I LOVE the turkey stamp from the kit and thought it would make a great peacock. :)

The sentiment is made using the Say It (In Pieces) kit - I am going to be using this kit a LOT!  Mixed font sentiments are my absolute FAVOURITE type of sentiments.  Oh, and that YUMMY grid background paper is from Echo Park's All I Want for Christmas digikit... Love it.
Loads of Stickles added to make the feathers sparkle...

Batty!

I don't really celebrate Halloween... but I couldn't resist making just one card with this cute new digikit from Hero Arts, Going Batty.  I do love those funny bats... especially covered with Glossy Accents. :)  All the stamps are from the kit, as is the distressed orange paper.  I just added some Polky Dots on top.

Save the Date...

Hello, and happy Monday.
Just popping in to share a card I made using some fabulous Hero Arts products.  This card is a mix of digital and 'real' stamping.  The central panel is all digital stamps.  I recoloured the Flowing Flowers stamp then layered it over a softly sepia coloured Old Letter Writing. The sentiment is from the Sweet Wedding digikit.  After printing onto white card, I stitched then inked the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The card base was stamped with Old Letter Writing - one of my favourite stamps - in Pumice Stone Distress Ink, another favourite product :)  I added a sweet heart charm from The Ribbon Girl to finish the card off.

Hope you enjoy your day, back tomorrow to show off some new Hero Arts digikits. :)
