A bit of sewing...

So my mum and I have ben busy making things for my little one.  We both LOVE sewing and pretty fabrics, and can't resist creating little things for Lily.
First up, we made this comfort blanket for her...  Lots of yummy Ribbon Girl ribbons and some gorgeous Moda fabric.

In fact, we were so pleased with ourselves, that we made another 7 in different shades for all the babies in my ante-natal group. :)
Then we made a set of little bibs. I've seen these cute triangular bibs in the shops, but all in bright colours.  I'm a pink and pool kinda girl so it was time to get stitching.  We used terry toweling on the reverse and a bit of velcro at the ends to fasten them.

And finally, mum made a lovely playmat for her too... here she is enjoying it. :)

And because I can't help myself, here are a few more photos.  I'm besotted :)

Have a great weekend.  I'll mostly be cuddling. :)

  17. I need to make a giant bib for my hubby - he never fails to drop his tomato sauce down his lemon or pale aqua or cream coloured jumpers - if it's not tomato sauce it's curry sauce - either way, the stains just don't come out! A bib is the answer - the one he has is ready for the bin! I'll have to get the sewing machine out. Mary G
