Little Princess

Hello - I hope you are having a good day. I certainly am. My baby girl slept for 11 hours straight followed by another 3 1/2 hours. That's unbelievable. She's been waking 3 or 4 times a night for a long time now, so I am feeling GOOD. :)
Anyway, Hero Arts released three kits this week - Fit for a Princess, Princely, and Magical Birthday - all perfect for cute kids' cards. I have two cards to share made with the Fit for a Princess kit.
First up, a fun shaped card. I printed the image sized at 4 x 4" for this card, layering the image over cute digital papers from Echo Park's Summer Days kit.  I added a sentiment from Calico Borders and hand cut a little flag, sticking it to a cute pin from The Ribbon Girl. (When I give this card, I'll be sure to trim the sharp end off the pin with some wire cutters.) :)

For my other card, I used the sweet fairy image, adding a customised sentiment made using THIS kit and THIS kit.  Some stitching, glitter and jewels finished it off.

So there you have it - two princess cards. :)
I'm off to play with my girl. She makes me so happy. :)

Card for Jennifer

Hi everyone!
I'm here today with a card for Jennifer McGuire and her family. I'm sure you know she just gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl Lila. So a load of us are having a card share for her, hosted by the fabulous and kind hearted Jana Millen.  Here is my card, made using a sweet Doodlebug sticker, a fun Hero Arts sentiment, and some cute rub-ons to personalise the teddy. :)

Yummy Cupcake

Hi! Sorry for my week long absence, my parents and I decided to go on holiday at the last minute... the weather here is amazing, we're having building work and it seemed like the perfect excuse. And we had a GREAT time in the sun. :)
Anyway, I've got a card to share today which uses Hero Arts new Cupcakes Galore digikit. This kit is such fun. I created the background by copying and pasting the image over and over in Word, then I flipped some of the cupcakes for variety. The big cupcake was printed on patterned paper and embellished with glitter and yummy pink seam binding.

I hope my American friends have a fabulous long weekend, and everyone else, a lovely Sunday.

Birthday Butterflies

Hi! It's time for a new challenge at The Ribbon Girl.
This month's colours are GORGEOUS - vintage pinks and cream. Easy for me. :)
I started by inking these stunning Prima canvas butterflies with Spun Sugar distress ink. I chose my background paper - from Bazzill's Vintage Marketplace pad - then started selecting my ribbons and embellishments.
I chose cream silk, pink taffeta, and pink satin ribbons, and some fabulous resin flowers - these and these - all from The Ribbon Girl, of course. :)
The sentiment on the tag is from a new Hero Arts set - Many Birthday Messages. LOVE this set!!!
Lovely Friend
Hope you get a chance to play along with the challenge - as always, they have prizes up for grabs :)
Take care - enjoy your Sunday.
