Congratulations Butterflies

Hello.
Just popping in to share a card I made using my favourite new stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I LOVE this sentiment. It's just perfect. The combination of fonts (I do so love Kristina's handwriting...) makes me very very happy. I am having to restrain myself from using this stamp on all my cards at the moment. :)

The butterflies are old Prima canvas resist inked with various inks. Love them. You can't really tell, but I misted them with a Perfect Pearls and water mix after inking (a la Jennifer McGuire). They have a lovely soft shimmer.
Hope you've had a great day.
Bye for now.

Just a Note

Hi! I finally got time to play with the FABULOUS Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit. It's beautiful. The patterned papers are especially lovely. This bird paper is a card in itself don't you think. I just added a simple sentiment from the gorgeous stamp set, stamped in Wet Cement ink (my new favourite ink by FAR!), a button from the kit, and some ribbon and twine.

Love love love that paper...
Have a great weekend. See you soon.

Haunted!

Hello. I'm here today with 2 cards created with the new Haunted digikit by Hero Arts. This is such a fun Halloween kit with loads of potential for different projects.
My first card is inspired by two A-MAZ-ING cards by the talented and fabulous Lisa Spangler. I chose to glitterise my cat (a la THIS beauty by Lisa) AND color my wiggle eyes (inspired by THIS card) to match the Halloween theme.  Isn't Lisa AWESOME.  I applied the glitter using Glossy Accents. Oh, and THIS is my favourite glitter. The sentiment is typed (using THIS font), and the paper is from THIS digikit.

My second card uses paper and mages from the kit. I added a sentiment from THIS kit. A simple card featuring digi stamp layering. (Let me know if you have any questions about this... or see my tutorials)

So, two ways to use this fun kit. Hope you like them.
Have a great day, see you again soon.

P.S. These and the two cards from my last post are now in my Folksy shop. AND I have a special offer on. Click HERE to see. I'll ship worldwide.

Dot Flower

Hello! And a happy new week to you.
Today, Hero Arts have released two new digikits: Flower Dot Background and Haunted. I've got two cards to share today, both made with the Dot Flower kit.
For my first card, I recolored the stamp to sepia and printed on kraft. I added stamps from THIS set and THIS set as well as a little faux stitching. Simple.

And for this card, I altered the image to white and layered it over some blue digital paper from THIS kit. Once printed, I added a dot of Liquid Pearls to the centre of each flower. Then I rounded the corners, and added silk ribbon, a sweet diamante heart, and some Thickers.

That's it for today - back soon with some more cards form this week's releases.
Bye for now.

What to do with...

... ribbon scraps! Hands up who has LOADS of them. I know I do. :)
So, here's one idea of what to do with them...

I used a stamp from THIS cute set, and loads of ribbons, mostly from The Ribbon Girl (of course).
I'll be back soon - until then, have a great weekend.
