BOO!

Hello!
Today I have a pair of cards over on the Hero Arts blog. Both feature some of their digital products.
My first card pairs stamps from the new Spooky Labels digkit with some amazing woodgrain cardstock. I can't believe how clear the print quality is on this textured card. Better than normal card if you ask me!  I also added a cute bat, die cut with my Silhouette... it was a left over from my next project...

And here is my other card, a fun glittery bat creation, made using the Bat Swarm Silhouette cut file. Again, I used that woodgrain cardstock and then layered over some Doodlebug Sugar Coated Cardstock. Wiggle eyes were essential. :)

I'll be back tomorrow.
Bye for now.

Studio Calico October Cards - Post 2

I'm back with the 2nd of my posts sharing the (many) cards I have created with Studio Calico's October kits. This month I worked with the Card Kit - AntiquaryCard Add On - Athens and Add on 3 - Rome.
Today I have cards to share that feature the Athens Add On.
First, a sympathy style card... I love this flower stamp, and decided to create poppies...

I added a drop of white Liquid Pearls to the centre of each flower and used a white pen to add some dots.

Next, a simple Miss You card...

To give the leaves a bit of something extra, I added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

And finally for today, a card that uses both the Athens Add On AND the Card Kit. The stamps are from Athens, and the ribbon, button and blue card are from the Card Kit. I added some Woodgrain Cardstock, used THIS Hero Arts die, and embellished with more white Liquid Pearls and some Calico Shine Mister Hueys.

And that's it for today...
LOTS more to come. :)

Studio Calico October Antiquary Kits - Post 1

Hello, and welcome to the first of my posts where I share the cards I created with Studio Calico's October kits. This month I chose to work with the Card Kit - Antiquary, Card Add On - Athens and Add on 3 - Rome. These kits will all be available from midnight (EST) tonight so unless you are a Studio Calico subscriber, the links will not work until then...
First, let me say that this was my favourite month of kits since 'Neverland'. I loved working with them, especially the amazing exclusive stamp sets in the Card Kit and Card Add On.
So today's cards were all created with the Card Kit only. Isn't it cute... love that although it's got a slightly Autumnal feel, it is not too themed and has lots of general sentiments in the stamp set.
First up, a fun anniversary card... I love adding wiggle eyes to inanimate objects. :)

Pears make for cute anniversary cards...

Next, a gift card holder. Don't you love the gold glitter dots... For this card, I also used Simon Says Stamp's very useful Gift Card Envelope die.

And finally for today... more wiggle eyes. :)

Paper Crafts Publication... and a winner.

Just dropping in to share one of the cards I have published in Paper Crafts Handmade Cards Special Issue. I can't wait to get my copy... I was thrilled to have 9 cards picked up for publication in this magazine, and was so keen to send them off that I forgot to take decent photos of them... so I'll just have to share the one from the magazine that appeared on Moxie Fab World last week. :) Lucky me. :)
This card was FUN to make... I covered a sheet of cardstock in washi tape (see supplies below for links to tapes), then die cut loads of hearts from a piece of white cardstock using dies from Simon Says Stamp's Mini Hearts and Large Hearts sets. The sentiment is from THIS stamp set (one of my all time favourite stamps and sets!).

Time consuming, but I like the result. :)
And now time to announce the winner of the magazine from last week's blog hop...
It is...

Helen, I have emailed you.
I'll be back soon.
Bye for now.

Sparkly Hello

If you haven't already figured it out by how much I have used it, I LOVE the new Simon Says Stamp Big Hello die. It is so perfect for cards.
For this card, I die cut the Hello, then covered it in Glossy Accents and glitter. (THIS is my favourite glitter by the way). The background is created with papers from American Crafts' My Girl and Yes Please pads.

Can you see the sparkly goodness...
