So last night I had a chance to play with this FAB pack of Washi tape by Kelly Purkey, exclusive to Simon Says Stamp. You can buy these as a cool pack, or separately. I just LOVE the colours. They'd be fab tapes for Christmas projects, but I needed a stash of birthday cards, so I grabbed a selection of dies and stamps and went to town. :)
First, a girly birthday card featuring the Teal Polka Dot Washi. Teal and pink are a fab match, so I used my Washi to create some background paper. I added a die cut Pauline Butterfly which I covered in Rock Candy glitter and a sentiment from THIS stamp set.
Lots of subtle sparkle...
Next, a card for my friend's little boy who is soon to turn 5. I used the Numbers Washi here. I taped a strip to some white card then trimmed it down and adhered it to my patterned paper. The woodgrain geotag highlights his new age. I added a Jumbo Jet die cut too and customised my sentiment with THIS Clearly Besotted Alphabet set.
Maybe this is a bit of a grown up card for a 5 year old…
And finally, another masculine card. This one is inspired by our traditional Red Arrow jet planes that do awesome air displays at big events in the UK. They used to practice their displays at the place we went on holiday every year, so they are very special to me. :)
Anyway, I used the Jumbo Jets again, die cutting the planes from some of the Red Diamond Washi.
Very simple card… but lovely and bright. :)
And that's it for today.
I hope you enjoyed my wash cards. Kelly's Washi tape is gorgeous quality - thick and easy to apply. You can barely see the joins!
Right - off for a nap. My little one has decided she no longer wants to sleep much at night and is up for hours at a time. I think she's getting me ready for the new arrival next month!!
Eeeek. One month today!!!!! I am so excited.
