Today I have a 3rd card to share that I created with the July Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. This card is inspired by the style of Jocelyn Olson whose cards I cannot get enough of at the moment (this one in particular I really love. And this one.). The way that Jocelyn layers paper astounds me. I jut adore it. So I thought I'd have a go at some paper layering myself.
However, whereas Jocelyn manages this fabulous scrappy style by hand cutting her papers, my extremely particular straight edge self had to use a trimmer. One day I'll try her way too. :)
For my card, I selected three papers from the Pink Paislee pad, layered them up and stitched them together. I added the gorgeous sentiment with a heart, and another tiny sentiment on the side which I hand cut from another piece of paper.
I really love the layers look and will definitely be trying this again.
Jocelyn, thanks for being such an inspiration. :) You rock.
Back soon.
Bye for now.

Seriously? You have me blushing! Wow, thank you!! Your card is gorgeous, and I love the layering. I had to laugh about the trimming--I know what you mean. :) The stitching is fabulous as always. You are such an inspiration to me!!
This is gorgeous, Lucy! I think we are all inspired by Jocelyn's paper layering. ;) I love how you stitched the angled papers and the little tab is so fun!
I believe you have mastered the layered look, if this is any indication. The coordinating papers (using the paper trimmer or not) and the stitching are terrific. Perfect senitment as well as that little tab on the side. I love this card.
You rock at layering, too! Love this new style of yours! Fabulously inspired by Jocelyn!
