Hello!
Today I have a pair of cards for you featuring Simon Says Stamp's new Sketch Heart die. This die has a fun almost grungy look, but I was determined to create a pretty feminine card with it. So I made one of each - a more grungy masculine card, and a girly card. Both feature papers from Amy Tangerine's Stitched 6 x 6 pad and one of the cool new Large Tag dies (I am going to be using these tags a LOT…).
So first, the girly version. :)
For this card, I thought it would be fun to play on the 'You Complete Me' sentiment (from this new set) by paper piecing the heart together with two different papers.
I used two different sizes of Stitched Rectangle dies too - another die set that's going to be inconstant use!
And now my masculine version…
I did some inlaid die cutting here, adding a sentiment from Clearly Besotted's fabulous new Sentimental Type stamp set.
Some tiny staples add to the grungy feel.
So, two very different cards using virtually the same supplies. This was fun. :)
Back soon with more cards featuring these awesome new products.
Bye for now.

Wonderful pairing of die and stamps!!! TFS!
ReplyDeleteOmg I love these! Must get that die :D
ReplyDeleteI really like both cards. And...anything grunge...I'm there. Just ordered Amy Tan's stitched paper...how cool is that?
ReplyDeleteLove these cards! The grungy heart die is my fav:)
ReplyDeleteGreat cards love the heart die x
ReplyDeleteThanks for using the Sketch Heart die. I like it so much more than I thought or maybe it's just because I really like how you used it on your cards!
ReplyDeleteTwo very super cards, Lucy :-)
ReplyDeleteI really didn't think I would like this die as in not much of a "grunge" person (don't tell my house that, it thinks I love grunge!) but the way you've used it has totally changed my mind. It will be on my next SSS order. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLoving these cards I just discovered. Wondering what mesh or grid stamp you used on the masculine card. I assume you stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder, but I don't see the stamp referenced in the supplies. Thanks so much, great cards.
ReplyDeleteLove these cards. Is the black and white grid paper stamped or part of the Stitched collection?
