Celebratory Balloons

Hi!
Today I have a pair of shaker cards for you featuring Simon Says Stamp's Balloons dies
A few weeks or so ago, I saw THIS gorgeous card by Shari Carroll, and it reminded to dig these awesome balloon dies out of my stash. They are such useful dies… So I decided to create a shaker card using stamps from Simon's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set, Echo Park and Lawn Fawn papers, and lots of sequins and beads.

I also added some Sparkle Cord for extra dimension and texture.

And because I could not let that lovely polka dot balloon go to waste, I created a second card. This time, I created my shaker window by die cutting the word 'Congrats' from the balloon die cut (using Hero Arts' Congrats Stamp and Cut set). It's only a small window, but I filled it with Pretty Pink Posh silver confetti and some silver sequins and it gives lots of extra sparkle.

I added some Moonshine sequins to my balloon, and more Sparkle Cord too. Love this stuff.

I always feel like I got a free card when I make a second with a scrap from the first. I NEARLY made a third card with the die cut 'Congrats' from my second card… but I ran out of time. :) Now that really would have been a bonus!!
Thanks so much for visiting today. Have a great day.

Sending All My Love

Hi!
Today I have a card to share with you that I made with some yummy products from Crate Paper's Kiss Kiss range which it appears has been discontinued. Huh?? I did NOT know that when I made the card. :) Well, I decided to share the card anyway, as you, like me, may have some of these products stashed away. :)
I did some simple die cut layering here, adding Simon Says Stamp's 'Sending' die cut word and some lovely Pretty Pink Posh sequins too.

Sorry that I cannot link you to many products… such a shame that Crate Paper have discontinued this line. That woodgrain heart paper… yum!!
Anyway - back soon.

Simon Says Stamp Falling for You Blog Hop

Hello!
Today I am thrilled to be participating in the Simon Says Stamp Falling for You blog hop, along with a huge host of other designers.
You should have arrived from the blog of amazing Nichol Magourik. If not, head to the Simon blog to start at the beginning.
The gorgeous Falling for You release contains lots of sweet stamps, dies and stencils, and my favourite of them all is the adorable Baby Party Animals stamp set. Yes, I just love critter stamps. :) So I made a pair of cards featuring these sweet sweet little animals.
First up, a simple birthday card. I stamped the new Falling Snow stamp in Cotton Candy ink on Cotton Candy cardstock before die cutting with the Stitched Shapes frame die. Then I stamped my little monkey on some watercolour paper on which I'd painted a wash of brown paint. I cut him out, added a white face and pink cheeks then stamped the matching sentiment and banner on the pink panel before adding the monkey.

Some Moonshine sequins finished it off. So simple.

And next, a little baby girl card… because that bunny... eeek. Too cute.
For this one, I used some Lawn Fawn patterned papers, and the Stitched Squares and Stitched Circles dies. And the Hello There stamp is from the fabulous Circle Sayings set. I've another card to share with this set soon...

Mr & Mrs

Hello!
This weekend I managed to find time to create another card with the May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. I just had to create at least ONE wedding card with it, right?? :)
To make this card, I die cut a Large Tag from some of the beautiful My Mind's Eye foil paper in the kit, then stamped the sentiment from the Congratulations stamp set. Next, I die cut some butterflies from vellum, using Simon's Paulina and Chrissy butterfly dies, and layered them up before adding a My Mind's Eye sticker. I embellished the tag with Lawn Fawn twine (again - but it's such a perfect match!) and more of those gorgeous Pretty Pink posh gold sequins.

And as if it wasn't shiny enough, I added a strip of gold glitter tape to the side. The more sparkle and shine the merrier, as far as I am concerned. :)

Oh how I love that polka dot paper… isn't it just perfect??!
I hope your week has started well. I''ll be back soon.
Bye for now.
