Warm Birthday Wishes

A couple of days ago, I nipped into my craft space to grab something, saw my Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit on my desk, and got distracted... 15 minutes later I left the room with a completed card. :) I just love how easy it is to create with the kits... the beautifully coordinated products make it a breeze.

So here's the card I made. It had to be a shaker, right? Show me sequins, and I have to make them shake. :) To make the card, I first die cut a Stitched Rectangle and Stitched Circle from some of the patterned paper, then stamped a sentiment using a mix of sentiments from Big U Words and Warm Christmas Wishes.  I backed the die cut window with acetate then filled the back with foam tape. I created a pile of snowflake sequins on more of the patterned paper, then adhered the window panel on top. Finally, I die cut another Stitched Circle from white card, tucked it into the window and added the penguin sticker and a couple of enamel dots - both from the kit.

 

Perfect for a wintry birthday... especially for a child. I've recently heard that my nephews and nieces are hoarding any shaker cards I send their families, so this will probably go to one of them :)
