Hello.
I'm dropping in today to share a simple shaker card I created with the Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit. This kit is full of rainbows... perfect for happy, summery cards.
To make my card, I first stamped the sentiment and some hearts on some of the Bo Bunny patterned paper using my MISTI - it's so great for double stamping to get a perfect black impression. Next, I stitched acetate to the paper panel, leaving an opening at the top. I added some of my Crystal Shaker Selection into the pocket, then stitched up the last bit and adhered to a black cardstock panel. Finally, I adhered everything to a white notecard.
Super simple, but super sparkly too.
Thanks for visiting, make sure you check out this month's kit HERE. I'll be sharing another kit card soon...
Bye for now.

Such a fun and happy card, Lucy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fun card. Love it.
ReplyDeleteOh how I love this card Lucy.
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me with this fabulous, fun card!
ReplyDeleteAll three cards you pointed us to are lovely, with bright colors and the use of your MISTI for the stamping! Wonderful results!
ReplyDeleteOh! I LOVE this idea of the stitching on the whole card front to make the shaker card... I have always wanted to make shaker cards but there seems to always be way to much mounting tape used for them.
ReplyDeletethanks for the wonderful inspiration!

How pretty and uplifting this card is. I tend to shy away from the watercolor effect, but I am definitely going to try this. I just hope my card comes out as good as yours (probably not, but I'll try). Thanks for your creation.

ReplyDeleteYou can't even see the acetate! At first glance I thought you had perfectly layered lots of sequins and glued them together. The card is gorgeous. I'm in love with the rainbow background.
ReplyDeleteLove the brilliant colors and the sewn boarder! Thanks for sharing your beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing and fun card. I never thought of making a shaker card like this. Love the sequin confetti and the bold black image from double stamping with the Misti. Now I definitely need to get one since that blacker image keeps attracting me more and more. Thanks for sharing your many talents and beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteGreat card!
