MISTI May-nia


This month, kind Iliana, owner of My Sweet Petunia and creator of the MISTI , is giving away a Mini MISTI every day.  Since I purchased my Mini MISTI a few months ago, I have used it on every single card I have created. Finally, no more wasted cardstock and patterned paper - I get the stamped results I want every single time. Seriously, this thing is the most useful tool I own!!

Unfortunately I have been sick recently and have not been able to create a card showing off the wonders of the MISTI - but HERE, HERE and HERE are a few of my recent creations that I would never have attempted without my MISTI. :)

All you need to do is leave a comment here by Wednesday 1st June to be in with a chance of winning a mini MISTI.

    I'm so sorry to hear you were under the weather, but on the bright side we got to view 3 cards you made with the MISTI! I like how you emphasized the clear and dark sentiments stamped in black by using MISTI. It makes a huge difference, especially if you don't get very good coverage the first time. I loved the pocket on the card front filled with sequins, too.

Iliana shared an awesome video on creating a beautiful card using her Misti as the stamp positioner it was intended for and re-purposing it for a "work station" AND... what I loved most of all... using it to ensure her mat was positioned perfectly on her card base! Loved it.

    I hope you feel better soon, Lucy! It's no fun to be sick! I loved the cards you linked to above. I remember them coming into my email when you posted them originally and how much I liked them. Your sister card was absolutely stunning! I loved the dark sentiment against the soft background :) Thanks for the chance to win the MISTI as well. I often have trouble with not getting a crisp stamped image and, thanks to my vision, I have a hard time lining things up properly. They are usually cattywampus and I have to redo them a half dozen times until they're right!

    I do hope you're feeling better and taking good care of yourself. If I were feeling lousy, I'd probably pull out my (ever-expanding) collection of your shaker mixes and just look at them and hold them until I felt better.     I am sorry to learn you have been sick. I did go review the card posts you noted. Can you tell me how you got the "sister" raised on the 2nd card? You said w/ foam tape, but did you die cut the foam tape to make it fit perfectly or just put pieces behind the wording? I really like that you sewed, at least that's what it looks like, your card panels down on all 3 cards. What a cute cute idea!! I hope you feel better and Happy Crafting.
